Wow, it’s been over a month since my last blog post. That might be a record. So much is happening, a season of rapid shifting. It’s hard to know where to start, there is so much to share, but I’ll start with some EXCITING NEWS: I recently signed an agreement with StencilGirl® (stencilgirlproducts.com) to design stencils for Bible Journaling. Last week I received prototypes of my stencils and am enjoying Bible journaling with them. Here is a sneak preview of a Bible Journal page spread using some of the stencils. Since I do a lot of freehand drawing, I wondered if the same look could be achieved with stencils. It can! Stencils are a great base for adding personal color, shading, pen work, and embellishment. I’m so excited! I think these stencils will help make Bible journaling more accessible and personal for people. One thing I am loving about using stencils for Bible journaling is that the stencil provides a structure to begin with, and because there are so many different applications for one stencil, it gives the user the ability to express themselves with a broad range of creative personal expression and apply the stencils to a wide variety of Scripture passages. I am also recording video of the processes, so….
On a more personal note:
I don’t want to neglect saying that we had a wonderful time on our European adventure. It truly was an adventure, and I hope to post a bit of travel journaling about it.
