Daring to Dream in 2012!

This year I am choosing to act on my Dreams. Even seeing that in print sounds scary. I've been asking myself, "What if I dare to dream and then take action?"

I have been reading the bookDreaming with God by Bill Johnson. It's my second time through and this time my daughter and I are reading it and talking about it.It is excellent! Last week she said, "Mom, let's write our dreams down and share them with each other." She said it so enthusiastically that I didn't say what first came to mind, which was, "I can't do that! They're too outrageous, too big, "out there"…" Instead I responded with, "That sounds like a good idea." So I pray, keep reading, take notes, journal, pray…. Maybe God wants me to trust Him for the impossible through me….

There is something about writing our dreams down that feels like the first commitment to act on them. It actually is an act of faith itself to give an affirmative and visual voice to what God has placed in our hearts to do with Him.

For the past few weeks it feels like I've been in a wrestling match, fighting and pushing through and past the inner critic, the failed attempts, the feelings of inadequacy. But now there is light at the end of the tunnel, a breakthrough and a deeper realization that God really does love me and it has nothing to do with what I do. I am so grateful! And free to explore without judging myself or what I produce. I can let go and dare to dream. What are your dreams?

The podcast below really encouraged me so I'd like to share it with you.
