Increasing the Fun Factor and Filling the Tank

Sometimes I need to use positive self-talk to get me out of my current state of mind. I ask myself, "What do I need?" In the midst of a steep learning curve and hard work, I need to remember it's not all about what I need to accomplish, and it's not about searching for my lost comfort zone to crawl into. For me, it's about trusting God and letting go, giving Him control, and cutting myself some slack. Putting those things down in a journal, an art journal in particular, is an act of faith for me, and a refueling. It is a beginning of a paradigm shift, a change of thinking, repentance. As I was praying the thought came, "Go ahead, lighten up, and have some fun."

After taking time for that creative, quiet, focused activity, I am reminded how that kind of nurturing fills me up and gets me ready to reach out to others again.

I found this quote, written by Mary Lou Cook, on Pinterest and it seemed so perfect for what I am going through right now, so I included it in the second spread:

"Creativity is inventing, growing, taking risks, breaking rules, making mistakes, and having fun."

I want the fun-filled courageous

enthusiasm Walt Disney had when he said:

"It's kind of fun to to the impossible."

I imagine God thinks the impossible is pretty fun - His specialty.
