Favorite Stencils for Planner Journaling!
I couldn’t help myself… Just below on the left are two sneak peek pictures into my 2022 planner journal. I’m setting it up early. As you can see, it has a Mid-Century Modern flavor that pairs well with my word for the new year. I featured the June calendar page on the right since it also reflects my new word and the star stencils I will be using A LOT in 2022. I probably already gave away my new word for next year, but stay tuned for more about that later.
I’ve looked through the past few years of planner journals, which helped me determine which themes and stencils I will be using in 2022. You’ll see them in groups below the journal photos. The first five on the left, are ones I am and will be using throughout next year. They gave me a great place to start in my journal.
The above headings were made using: StencilGirl Products Stencils: Mid-Century Modern style is made using Mid-Century Modern Banners stencil #L711 and the stars add a sparkly touch using the Stars Stencil with Stars mask edge #L843. These two stencils, along with the group of stencils directly below, are favorites I’m using in my new 2022 Planner journal.
During 2021 I used the Planner Banner Ribbons #L832 stencil for month headings, monthly Dutch door page with circle combos, etc. The June calendar, above right is just one of those banners. Other stencils used to make the June page are: Script Sans Serif Alphabet & Grid stencil #L833, the Stars Stencil with Stars mask edge #L843 and the Stars Stencil with Double Mask Border S868.
The Circle Bubbles stencil #S794 and stars add holiday magic to the Joy to the World hymn page
In 2021 I featured the Planner Banner Ribbons (in the set below this text) stencils every month, in new ways. I also used the grid stencil each month to make the monthly calendar pages in my A5 dotted journal. Then I used the names of the month portion of the stencil for the months’ names, and the other letters as well. There are lots of examples on how to use them in my blog posts. You can always refer back to my monthly calendar blog posts in 2021 to see them, and watch tutorials on how to make them.
In 2022 I anticipate using the large Stars Stencil with Stars mask edge #L843 stencil/border (shown at left) a lot in my planner journal, along with Mid-Century Banners stencil (shown below). Music is also playing into my journal more in 2022. Starting a new journal is always something I look forward to, and during these times getting my creativity flowing brings with it a measure of joy.
Tutorials for using the Mid-Century Banners stencil using Gelatos® are found on the Tutorials page. Scroll down until you find it there. I am using those stencils again this coming year for my headings in the journal set-up.
