Gratitude Journal Set Free

As I was perusing through the blogs I follow I found that Bernice Hopper put out a Gratitude Journal blog challenge on her blog:

. The art journaling challenge, complete with pdf's and inspirational prompts, quotes, and videos is found at

An Attitude of Gratitude Art Journaling Challenge

. I joined about five days ago.

Knowing I was starting after it already began, I decided to think outside the box of the challenges and combine some of the days. I figured if I focused on having to get a certain day done at a certain time etc., my focus would be on the wrong thing. So I am doing what I can, when I can, and am grateful that I can do it and give myself permission let go of the "shoulds". It really is helping me focus on counting my blessings, and being more thankful. The first image below is my front cover with a flap that looks like an envelope.

Here is the beginning of days 1, 2, and 4: Wholeheartedness, Today, Time

I decided to make a running list of what I am thankful for and write a few things down each day. I will fill up the space around the figure below with what I am grateful for.

Here is the beginning work done in pen for Days 1-4 of the challenge. After that I brushed a coat of matte medium on the page and cut out hearts from painted tissue paper, gluing them on with more matte medium

Below is the beginning of my "Creativity" theme page
