Making art with a theme in mind sparks my imagination, even if the theme is not having one and being totally spontaneous, which is a challenge for me. Exploring ideas and working through problems, navigating seasons of life, and emotions often happens as understanding grows through the process of making an art journal. These journals actually end up having themes similar to the Word Themed journals, but they usually don’t start that way, usually open ended and a way to discover ways to navigate life page by page.
