Looking Back to Move Forward

I like to move on and not look back, but sometimes looking back can be helpful in moving forward. Recently, I have been given the opportunity to do just that, look back, look forward, and re-purpose the past in a new, meaningful way. It came as a surprise in an email from a publisher asking if I would like to create a coloring book for adults. The request was prompted by the book I wrote about my personal journey,

Paintings, Prayers & Passages

, and the art imagery found online, especially the

A-Z of Me Moleskine

journal. Even some of my paintings are being repurposed and I'm seeing them in a new way.One beneficial thing this process is doing for me is increasing my gratitude, being thankful for what I have been allowed to do and make, and especially being grateful for God's presence and love. Here is a sample sneak peak of some of the journals I've referenced so far, and a snippet of the inspired coloring pages:

It is an exciting process to revisit, redesign, trace and transform my previous work into ink doodles and drawings to be colored. They are inspiring me with new themes and artwork, which is encouraging. There is nothing like being inspired. That is my hope for those who engage with the coloring book will be encouraged and inspired! The pages include inspirational messages with imagery created in the spirit of the messages. The season of autumn always seems like a new beginning to me. May you be blessed with the purpose you were made for as you begin this season's adventure!
