It’s finally here - ‘Space’ being my word for the year. I’ve wanted this word for a few years now, bit it didn’t seem like a good fit until now. Pursuing space came early in the fall of 2021 because I finished my 2021 journal pages the last day of October for the Plan-with-me course 2021.
Another jump start to living out the word ‘space’ was moving everything out of my studio so the floor could be fixed and refinished. My husband and I worked hard. It was a good opportunity to go through and get rid of things that no longer serve me well, to organize, choose and clean out the space. I’ve been intentional about going through and organizing drawers and cupboards, and plan to continue that through my spaces in 2022.
While making the pages for the journal set-up this year, some questions come to mind:
What willI intentionally make space and time for?
Who will I intentionally make time and space for?
What needs to be done about my living spaces?
Thoughts as I consider my word for 2022
To live in the present we are all bound to time and space. For all of 2021 my questions to keep going was:
What is the next thing to do?
Then just do that.
It was hard to keep pushing through and follow through, but I did and answering that question with action helped me focus and move forward.
It’s important to have something
to look forward to
After 2021 I realized I wasn’t looking forward with much hope, I decided to look forward to something. I’ve been working on a space course for what seems like ages, and this is the year! Learning about the Cosmos is one of my passions, and it’s time for some space exploration!
Recently I read a quote that resonated with me and is relevant to the times we live in.
“You cannot control the world, the country, your town,
the mood swings of those you love,
but you can try to create around you
a little bit of space that is all your own.”
