Thank you for joining me on this blog for the journey through The 100 day project. I appreciate the encouraging comments and hope you’ve been inspired.
“Little by little
one travels far.”
~ J.R. Tolkien
When doing a project like this, one cannot help but improve skill and expand the imagination by doing something small on a nearly daily basis for 100 days.
Finishing this journal brings a sense of accomplishment that makes me feel confident and ready for the next creative adventure. An added bonus is that I have a record and reference for design and application of watercolor paint, pen, pencil, and various ways to use a stencil.
This post has the current video of entries 95-100 like the rest of the 100 day project posts, and also a celebratory flip through video of the entire 100 entries of the journal.
To be honest, I didn’t do as well about posting regularly on Instagram. I’m not beating myself up about it, but asking myself what the take-away is for me about that. As of now I’m accepting that I don’t really like social media much, but I do like connecting with like-minded and like-hearted creatives. So with those two things in mind, I am making an appointment to post on Instagram and Facebook and Pinterest once a week. I’ll check out my peeps then too. The plan seems doable and pleasant.
Days 95-98
The sun looked so strange on May 13, 2024, after the auroras were seen so far south, and I wonder if it is because of the solar flares. I took the photo to the left. It looked just like that, but of course, huge! For some reason, I wanted to include it in my visual diary, so I painted it below.

Days 99-100 + Celebration
In these final entries, I began with a stencil and watercolor paint applied with a cosmetic sponge. The stencil I used for all three squares is the StencilGirlProducts stencil: ATC Mixup - Sjodin #762. I really enjoy doodling over stencils.
