One of the easiest and most versatile types of journals to make is an accordion journal, also called a concertina journal.
Recently I was asked how to make one, so I made this video (below) that shows how I customize an accordion journal, and also share some inspirational ways you can use one.
What I love about this type of journal, in addition to its simplicity, is the sky is the limit on how many ideas can be expressed in one of these concertina journals.
The paper I am using is a 22” x 30” sheet of Fabriano Artistico hot press, 300 gsm, 140 lb. I usually buy mine in bulk from Blick Art Supplies or Jerry’s Artarama.
