Mid-Year Planner Journal Set-Up

If you run out of space in your Planner journal
& need to set-up a new one... try this...

If you're like me, you may be running out of space in your journal. The journals with the thicker 160 gsm paper we use for watercolor generally have less pages than a traditional journal. If you also do journal writing in your 'Plan with me' journal, as I do, then it is likely you need another journal to finish out the year. I found myself in that situation without the time or focus to set-up a new journal like I did at the beginning of the year.

The video below shows what I did: Got photo copies made of the yearly set-up pages I want to refer to for the rest of the year, then trimmed them, and glued them into my journal. I learned a number of things in the process. I hope it inspires and helps you...

SUPPLIES:

Tombow adhesive tape I'm using: https://amzn.to/34CnPFP

White fine tip Posca paint pen: https://amzn.to/3fGyqpx

UHU large (.74 size) glue stick

Glue & residue eraser: https://amzn.to/3wSgEVY

Gold Washi tape: https://amzn.to/3canDSB

Small scissors (come in a bundle of 5): https://amzn.to/3vHHYWN

Metal cork back ruler

Craft knife & cutting mat or other paper cutting supplies

NOTE: Currently the Black 160 gsm Wordsworth & Black dotted notebook I used for my January-June journal is unavailable. I hope that color and the raspberry and turquoise will come back in stock. They do carry it in brown, but to be honest, it's not a nice color.

I only recommend products I've personally used, and would not recommend the notebook used in this set-up for water media even though it is 160 gsm. I have used Archer and Olive and have been pleased with the paper. They don't have page numbers in their journals. I have another brand in my studio to try and know there are many out there.

If you set up a new Plan with me journal for the rest of the year, I'd love to know how you did it! Please post in the comments section below.

Blessings,

Valerie
