Welcome to my Blog!

This is the time of year a theme of Word of the year begins to wrap up and make room for a new word for the upcoming year.

I’ve looked through the past few years of planner journals, which helped me determine which themes and stencils I will be using in 2022. You’ll see them in groups below the journal photos. The first five on the left, are ones I am and will be using throughout next year. They gave me a great place to start in my journal.

Welcome to the final month of the year. It’s been quite a journey this year! My goal is to finish strong and start the new year with hope. It seems fitting to celebrate art journaling through the whole year with grand finale pages and a beloved song, sung during the Christmas season: Joy to the World. Video tutorials included.

In the USA we celebrate Thanksgiving the month of November, so it seems fitting to focus on gratefulness. The truth is, I need my joy to be restored. Like many, the last year and a half has brought many losses and our individual and collective worlds are not what they used to be. Sadness and even depression can weigh heavy on our hearts and daily lives. I sense the need to re-frame how I'm looking at life and focus on the positive. Being intentionally thankful and counting specific blessings is one way to restore joy, and here are more ways to help…
