Music is a language all it's own, sinking deep into the soul from the depths of despair and reaching up to the gates of heaven. Music allows us to relive memories forever young, and dream of the future bright with hope.
"Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything."
Plato
These stencils, made by StencilGirl® Products, can help you express your music in art and art journaling. So versatile! My personal favorite is the music staff mask and I've been using as for a background pattern for all sorts of journaling...
Here's a short video demo showing how I used the stencils to make the page above and as a basic background.
"Where words fail, music speaks. "
Hans Christian Andersen
"Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent."
Victor Hugo
"Music is the color of sound."

"We are the music makers, and we are the dreamers of dreams."

Welcome to My Studio!
My studio in Hillsboro, Oregon was one of over 60 art studios open for the Washington County Artists Oregon Studio tour on October 20-21st. It was a wonderful weekend! To all of you who came, Thank you! I had so many meaningful conversations, and I am truly grateful. My dear friend Kim and daughter Merri and Keith all joined me to make everything go smoothly and were available to talk with people too. Stenciling demos were casual, usually answering questions about the use of them. The weather was perfect so people enjoyed the courtyard area along with the new, still in process chapel. It was a joy at the end of the tour to see neighbors hanging out in the Adirondack chairs, talking and laughing. The only thing is... we were having such a good time, we forgot to take photos, so our sweet memories will serve as a reminder and encouragement to keep on creating and connecting with people.
Cheers to more good times creating & connecting!
