May FREE Tutorials! 2021 Plan-with-me set-up

 

Welcome to May 2021. For my word of the year, this year, it is a prefix: RE. Each month Re- words are featured in my planner journal, along with a visual theme. It’s been fun to see how these two little letters (re) relate to life and the words others have chosen for the year. Looking up the definition of the word theme for the month gives insight and is often the starting point of inspiration.

This month the ‘RE’ word is Recreate, specifically beauty represented by flowers.

Recreate means to cause to come into being in a new way, as something unique, extraordinary. It also means 'to refresh by means of relaxation and enjoyment, as restore physically or mentally.'

Recreating beauty in the midst of what is not beautiful can be hard, but beauty uplifts the soul, bringing hope and joy.

Beauty is 'the quality present in a thing or person that gives intense pleasure or deep satisfaction to the mind, whether arising from sensory manifestations (as shape, color, sound, etc.), a meaningful design or pattern, or something else (as a personality in which high spiritual qualities are manifest).' (Webster's New Universal Unabridged Dictionary, 1996, Random House, New York)
